Given that potentially large volumes of concrete can be used in pavements -PCC- the goal of this study was to determine the maximum replacement of cement with fly ash -FA- that could be achieved and still provide scaling resistance. This case study focused on the Henday Drive Project in Edmonton Alberta and used Type F FA. The study also included two test procedures: the CSA Standard and a modification discussed in the report. The study further focused on PCC appropriate and compared the results from the CSA and BNQ test procedures.
